How Vision ADU Helps You Choose Finishes: Materials, Design & What Actually Works
Jaime Costilla ·
The Finishes Decision Is More Important Than You Think
One of the hardest parts of planning an ADU is choosing finishes — flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures. It can feel overwhelming if you haven't done it before. At Vision ADU, we guide every San Diego homeowner through this process during your free in-home consultation, bringing physical samples and design expertise directly to your property.
What We Bring to Your In-Home Consultation

- Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) in multiple colors and wood-grain patterns
- Porcelain tile options for kitchens and bathrooms
- Engineered hardwood selections
- Waterproof options ideal for ADU applications
Cabinet Options
- Shaker-style cabinets in white, gray, and espresso
- Modern flat-panel designs

How We Help You Decide
Our team can help you choose finishes that stand up to rental wear and photograph well for listings in San Diego County's market. We'll show you what works — and steer you away from choices that look great in a showroom but fail in real-world rental settings.
What to Prepare Before Your Consultation
- Photos of your current property (inside and outside)
- A rough idea of your ADU type (garage conversion, new construction, JADU)
- Any inspiration images you've saved (Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz)
- Your questions — our design team is here to help
