About This Project
This Lakewood project is one of the more ambitious ADU builds in our portfolio: a garage conversion combined with a second-story addition, creating a two-story, 700 sq ft unit with one bedroom and one and a half bathrooms.
Going vertical is a smart way to gain square footage when the lot doesn't allow a larger footprint — the existing garage structure becomes the first floor, and a new second story is framed above it.
The finished unit lives like a small house, with living space and a half bath below and the bedroom and full bathroom upstairs.
Two-story ADUs involve additional structural engineering and permitting complexity, and this build demonstrates Vision ADU's ability to manage that scope end to end.
