About This Project

This detached new construction ADU on Lundy Ave in Pasadena is a ground-up 480 sq ft build with one bedroom and one bathroom, set behind the main home with its own entrance.

The kitchen brings real designer character with deep green shaker cabinetry, brass hardware and faucet, a double-basin stainless farmhouse sink, and stone-look countertops. An over-the-range microwave and full appliance set complete the space.

The unit is conditioned with an energy-efficient mini-split system, and the bathroom features a clean shower enclosure with modern brass fixtures. Wood-look flooring and recessed lighting run throughout.

Pasadena is one of the most established ADU markets in Los Angeles County, and detached backyard units like this one are in constant demand — for family, guests, or rental income. This build shows how a compact detached ADU can still feel custom and considered.
